Dave's Hot Chicken

The food was good, I got medium spice chicken assuming spice level was similar to other places. Medium had 0 spice to it at all. My boyfriend got hot and he said his wasn’t hot at all. I’m sensitive to spice, he isn’t - but still. Spice levels seemed off. The Mac was basic/bland. My 4 year old liked it though. Staff was great, food came out fast, very clean/nice dining area. I would order one spice level up from what you would normally get from elsewhere.

Went to Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and it was awesome! Really fresh, hot food. Super clean inside the dining area and the staff were all super friendly. It was BUSY and they got our food out really quickly. I got the chicken slider with fries and a drink. Chicken was seasoned really well. Just enough spice with the medium heat, the fries were crispy and delicious! I will definitely be telling my coworkers to come here and I’ll be back for sure.

Went in when they were first opening. The team seemed new and were training but they were very friendly and quick! The food was delicious and different spice levels to pick from, I chose mild so it wasn't overly spicy. Fries were crispy which is my favorite so overall was a huge hit for me! Will definitely be back!

If you like Dave’s Hot Chicken, this is a great restaurant. The staff was well trained. The food came out quick, accurate, and hot. The store was clean and well-stocked.

If you don’t know this restaurant and like chicken fingers, it’s worth trying. This is especially true if you like spicy chicken.

Our favorite part was the fries. They had a great seasoning on them. Second was the sauce- it was like a mix of mayonnaise and ketchup. I got a ‘hot’ slider. I thought the flavor was great and loved it. I bought 2, but probably only needed one.

My son bought a chicken tender with no heat. He thought it was a little too plain. If he bought it again, he’d get in with extra mild, to add some flavor.

One thing to note- it’s pretty expensive. I bought the 2 sliders mean for $13. It didn’t come with a drink. My son bought 2 tenders and a soda. For the 2 of us, it cost $30.

Also, they wanted to charge me for a cup of water for a lid. A manager stepped in and said not to worry about it, but- seems a little petty if you’re dropping $30 on a meal.

All in all, Dave’s is worth a try. Personally, my son and I prefer the chicken at Hot Chicken Takeover a little better. But, I really liked the flavor of my chicken here

I try not to review big chains but for a grand opening I thought I might. I’ve been to several other grand openings and they usually have specials like a menu item free for a year for the first 100 people, which Dave’s hot chicken did not. They did, however, give out rubber chickens which I thought was a very nice touch. I first walked in and saw a long line and thought, man this place is popular. This was until I stood in the line and saw how inefficient the place was running. It looked like 20 people in the kitchen and one person running the register and ordering took a long time as well as receiving the meal. I’m hoping this was a result of first day jitters along with their drive through. Their menu consists of a combination of chicken tenders and chicken tender sliders, which you can get various levels of spice for. I got both tenders and sliders with light mild and the flavor was very good, not spicy at all. The fries tasted very good as well. The shopping center that this is in has many chicken options, but if they get their speed up they will be able to survive. I will definitely come back and try this location again.

Update: 4 -> 3 star downgrade
I came here again, this time through the drive through and had a similar experience. There were only three cars in front of me and it took 16 minutes until it was my turn to pick up food. If you are on a tight schedule I do not recommend coming here because your wait time is unknown. The staff also look like kids who do not want to be there so that might be slowing things down. The food was also not as good this time. The chicken was very thick and rubbery while chewing. I am not sure if I will return now.
