Granny Joe's Ice Creamatorium

Good selection and good service. Small town store feel!

This restaurant is a MUST STOP if visiting or residing in Vermilion. If you haven't dined here, you're truly missing out. Granny Joe's is nestled within a historic building, serving breakfast all day, as well as a number of other lunch and dinner dishes that at reasonably priced! With all of the charm this little place holds within the center of Vermilion, having local historical photographs lining the walls, the GEM of this restaurant, hands down, is Alyssa. She always greets you with a smile, remembering all of her customers, as well as their regular orders. While dining within this establishment, I overheard her offering to move tables for a family closer to the entrance to make the table easily accessible for a handicap customer who had yet to arrive. She simply remembered the family and knew this would suit them better. It's the little things in a small town that make it a GREAT experience!

Excellent Tofts ice cream with good selection of flavors. You can eat inside or outside of one of the order buildings in Vermilion with an interesting history.

This is an adorable small town restaurant. Even though amazing, hand dipped ice cream is the main feature, the dining menu is great too! Their perch is the best around. Very great hometown food. Great breakfast, great lunch and great dinner. It's all fresh. The service is the best also. On a beautiful summer day, there may be a small line for ice cream, but it goes quickly because their employees rock! It's a smaller dinning room, and there is outdoor seating in the summer. Well priced. It's our little secret to come here for breakfast off season. Nice photos of "Vermilion of the past" on the walls. Quaint & cute.
