Newfangled Kitchen

Full Disclosure. I recently had lunch at Newfangled Kitchen with my friend, the owners' mom/mom-in-law. I admit to wondering what in the world I would say to her if I was less than impressed. I had absolutely nothing to worry about! I had the Southern Melt, coleslaw and also tried the potato salad. Very yummy! I could have eaten the pimento cheese on the sandwich with a spoon it was so delicious! The restaurant is bright, charming and spotless! I already knew the owners, Laura and Eric, were wonderful people so that was not a worry. I do believe they have a hit on their hands. Did I mention the chocolate chip cookies with kettle chips on top?!?!?!?

A wonderful and unique addition to the city. It's rare these days to have a place open with it's own identify and niche, but Newfangled was well thought out and excellently executed. We've been a few times since they opened, always bringing someone new to try it out. The staff is kind and helpful and the food is delicious. The fang and Lucifer's hammer showcase the tender meatloaf brilliantly, but my favorite is the low country grilled cheese. Their pimento cheese should be on everything forever.

My wife, and I just left this wonderful place. From the start, the owner recognized we were first timers, and was extremely helpful. I got the Fang meatloaf sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious! Side note, I ordered coleslaw, I'm extremely picky when it comes to coleslaw, and theirs is very very good as well. Overall this place is amazing, and definitely more than worth a visit.

Brunch on Sunday. Good food,. Just about everything under $9-9.50. friendly and prompt service, only about 5-6 tables. Variety of sandwiches, including some meatloaf sandwiches.
Meatloaf is good, nice texture and consistency, which is then combined with other ingredients for various sandwiches

So happy to have this place in my neighborhood! The employees were super kind and helpful, and I went with the classic Fang sandwich, which was SO GOOD. The side salad was also excellent. It was so good I kind of wanted to go back the next day. ???? Highly recommend!
