Black Dog Pizzeria

First time trying Black Dog, and we thought it was delicious. First, I love a salad with my pizza, and theirs is one of the best I've ever had. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, not brown like many other restaurants. The toppings on the salad were perfect. Plus, their ranch dressing is homemade and really good. It's a thin ranch which I appreciate when it comes to mixing it into the salad. Then we tried the Columbus style pizza. Nice thin crust, really tasty toppings. I loved the flavor of the sauce. Luckily, it is not a sweet sauce. The pepperoni is plentiful, slightly spicy, and yummy. Most of all, our dog really appreciated the PUPperoni cup. What a nice menu choice!
One more nice thing is the online ordering. They texted with a projected time and then quickly followed with another text saying they were extra busy and adjusted the time. I appreciate the communication so I was not there just waiting around.

This is some of the best pizza I've ever had, possibly the actual best. From the crisp, tasty crust to the rich sauce to the high-quality toppings, Black Dog Pizzeria has not cut corners on anything.

We are currently working our way through the menu, trying something different each time, and I am looking forward to our next visit.

I was invited to their soft opening on Tuesday and think they will make a great addition to the pizza scene in Dublin! Definitely recommend checking them out if in the area.

Tried their speciality Corsican New York Style pizza (without mushrooms), custom made toppings to a Columbus Style (pro-pineapple in this house), and garlic knots. Everything was delicious and not overly greasy which was nice to see. Pizzas had a parmesan, pepper, oregano seasoning on them which was quite tasty and made the crust taste like a breadstick!

Our favorite was the New York style pizza, the Corsican which was such a unique Za. The roasted garlic shallot purée on the base complemented the ingredients so well and satiated my garlic and onion loving ways without being too overpowering. The ingredient medley was a perfect balance of flavors and the crust had a nice crunch. It can definitely be folded like NY style pizza too. I’m sure it would be great with the mushrooms left on but we are not mushroom fans. It is based off one of the co-owner Jessica’s favorite pizza… she likes it with extra anchovies and mushrooms but left anchovies off given that most are not a fan.

We had a lot of leftovers to keep us good for days. We are excited to return again soon to try their other menu items and speciality pizzas (most are punny names with dog references)! Be sure to check them out!

Great place, friendly people, and fast service. I ordered the Gluten Free pizza. They have a wide variety of toppings, and healthy topping option. The spicy sauce was great, and not too powering. Great flavor, and great price. Plus who can go wrong with a pizza place whose menu follows types of dogs?
Highly recommended for a new pizza place in the Dublin area.
