York Steak House

This place is great. First time here. It is kind of like a cafeteria with a salad bar that offers steak. We got there early for lunch and I had the Sirloin tips and they were great! Not sure I understand the purpose of going through the line at the beginning. Maybe there is more food out later in the day, but I would think they could just have a front counter to order from.

Salad bar had a decent selection and was clean (most important in my opinion!). I'll be back!

I have fond memories of visiting here with my Aunt and Uncle so decided to visit with my family. THE cleanest salad bar I've still ever seen. The ranch dressing is thick and creamy unlike the watered down versions elsewhere. The steak was tender and the chicken tenders were crispy and juicy. The service was okay - we had to wait a long time for refills and eventually hubby got up and got them himself once. York might not have the same atmosphere as some of these modern steakhouses but the prices, food and setting are family friendly.

Just as I remember. Haven't been in 30 years, the food really good, the place looks exactly the same. Had a petite sirloin, perfectly medium rare, a nice baked potato, simple salad bar fixins, a cup of classic vanilla pudding for dessert... Real good, an excellent value. Not fancy at all, but worth a trip!

Not the greatest steakhouse in the world but it does have its charm. Definitely a good place for those on a budget. The food is good. The salad bar is not the grandest but you can build yourself a decent salad. The staff was friendly and our server was good about refilling our drinks. All in all a decent dinner. Definitely an older establishment without the glitz and glamour.
