My wife and I frequent this place often. We drive all the way from the west side of Columbus to go here on occasion. We always get the Barry White coolers or sometimes the hot version. It's just so delicious I can't not order it. Then as we drive away, as tradition goes, we always listen to a Barry White song. I wish more of these would be open throughout the city. I used to go to the one at Tuttle Mall all the time in the late 90s early 2000s. But I've missed it and I'm so glad it's back in Columbus. The staff is very courteous and accurate. And they all know how to make a great beverage.
My husband got the Strawberry Pineapple Energy drink large and I got a large Turtle Mocha cooler it was our first time, the drinks are delicious regretting not getting that shot if expresso, pricing was reasonable and staff was great. Already recommended them to people. Abd shout to the review I read on Google reviews that recommended the Turtle Mocha sounded interesting to try and saved me time.
Caribou is my comfort place. I drive out 20 minutes each way just to get an espresso shaker! The drinks are larger and taste less artificial (especially the caramel) than other big coffee chains. Always nice service too.
I really like the coffee and the customer service is absolutely amazing at this location. They are super friendly anytime I visit; you can tell that their customer service is a priority by the way they interact with their customers. I have done both walk up and drive thru orders. I also downloaded the app to get perks and placed an order ahead of time; I like this option best (it saves time). If you are new to the app, you get a free drink after your first purchase! There is also a daily trivia question that allows you to get $0.10 off your order if you get the question correct (better than nothing, right).
The only downside is that they are pretty pricey - even more so than Starbucks (BUT their small is comparable to a Starbucks grande). I would definitely recommend for the occasional treat/stop. It's too pricey to be an everyday/few times a week habit in my opinion.
I remember Caribou from days spent in NE Ohio and I was somewhat looking forward to their comeback here. Please understand that they are still a chain coffee shop, but definitely a more friendly and community based approach to coffee and breakfast items, as compared to the Starbucks of the world.
We used the walk-up window, which has a rather small menu posted, so you have to know what you want, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Ended up getting a chai something or another and a maple sausage breakfast sandwich. Don’t know if I’ll be back, but would definitely consider it.
