My favorite place in the area for Pad Thai. They're spot on with the spicy/sweet balance of the dish. A favorite spot for several other noodle dishes too. I avoid the lunch special and order my meal fresh since the lunch specials are often tailored for people with food allergies and/or aversion to spice.
Great tasting food and staff don't make you feel rushed even during prime lunch rush. A different take on some food that I found appealing, like Bourbon Chicken Pad Thai. Pretty fun model airplanes flying from the ceiling. Seating kinda would like more table seats but the large farm table is cool too.
We love this place! Everyone there is so nice and the food is great! It is one of the only places in town that can make food spicy enough to keep our group happy.
I have high expectations for Thai food, and this place easily met them. I highly recommend Tik's. I have eaten here twice so far and will be going again before I leave town. I tried red and green curry. Both were excellent! I enjoy spicy food. Level 3/5 was manageable. I could easily go to a 4 and still enjoy the food. To give you an idea of my spice preference, I regularly eat carolina reaper and ghost pepper hot sauces. I really enjoyed the spring rolls too. The sauce that came with them was unique. The service was speedy the first time, but slower the second time. The second time was on a busy Saturday night though. So, it was expected. The prices were comparable to any other Thai restaurant.
Service needs a little work. Food is just awesome. This is not just a take out place like some cheap garbage Chinese joint, the food is authentic, flavorful, and some of the best in Dayton. 100% worth the trip. Prices are very fair and the amount of food is a good portion; enough to usually have some for lunch the next day.
