Condado Tacos

Hubby was in the mood for tacos. And instead of our usual, I suggested we come here for their opening day. And for being the first day, they had things pretty much down pat! It’s a great space with seating indoors and out on the patio. I loved sitting near the patio to enjoy the breeze. We were seated quickly and our waiter was attentive. My only complaint is that the kitchen took a little longer with some things than with others - nachos came out fast, but my son’s order of rice was the last thing to arrive. So things were a little inconsistent there.

We started with the nachos - no rice or beans, mixed meats chicken and steak. As soon as it was in front of us we asked for an extra side of queso because we can never get enough. And I would argue these nachos did need a bit more cheese. But the amount of delicious corn salsa and the amount of meat was pretty darn generous. The chicken was what the waiter suggested. And he was absolutely right in that it did have much more flavor than most other places I ever get nachos. BUT, the steak was SO PERFECT that the chicken didn’t matter. We will probably never order the chicken again because this steak STOLE THE SHOW! I get nervous with steak because there usually ends up being too much fat and it’s not seasoned enough. Nope. Not here. There was no fat. Zero. I didn’t have one awkwardly chewy bite. I fact, it was completely tender and had been cut in just the right way - you could pull it apart with your fingers! To make things even better? So much flavor!!! Woah. Just woah. I’m drooling right now just thinking about it.

We also ordered three tacos - Sweet Heat, The Heater and Blue Dream. Hubby wasn’t crazy about the jicama slaw on The Heater, but I actually thought it was nice (definitely different, though, and might not be your thing). My favorite was definitely Blue Dream. I loved the double shell (soft and hard), the crunchy shell was cool ranch (so good!), the ground beef was super flavorful with a little heat at the back which was calmed by the avocado ranch sauce.

Seriously, y’all. I can’t wait to go back!

So happy to finally have a Condados in Dayton! Food was great, plenty of options for specialty tacos as well as build-your-own nachos, bowls, etc. Everything was hot and fresh, staff were friendly, and the wait was minimal. 10/10, would recommend giving them a try if you're ever at the Greene.

Went to opening day and just loved it. They don't yet have the full menu, but I'm sure in time it will be there. Same great tacos I've had at other locations.
Just wish there was some sort of canopy for the outdoor seating. Definitely got a bit warm in the hot sun

Server kaycee was amazing!!! Very nice, observant and professional. She made our experience here amazing. Next time we come we are definitely asking for her.
