Went for the Mothers Day Buffet in the evening. They switch from a breakfast menu to a dinner menu, with carved prime rib, Turkey, ham, plus salmon, pasta bar and all the sides, etc. Very good value, meat and fish were high quality and freshly prepared, and well spiced. As usual for Parker's, service was very good - prompt and unobtrusive. Will definitely return.
I went for a work group lunch. I'd been here years ago but not recently so I was excited.
I debated between the burger and the Reuben. I ordered a Reuben. It looked great! It was nice and hot. I took a bite and I was disappointed that the corned beef was tough! I ended up eating half the sandwich. It just wasn't that good. One of my coworkers had the pulled pork and said she was dealing with the same issue. The guys who had the hamburger and the mac and cheese seemed happy with theirs.
I had asked for cole slaw as my side. It came out with fruit so that looked good and I didn't say anything.
The service was fast and they were great at keeping my water glass filled!
We live in Orlando, Florida, and come back here to visit family. My mom lives about 10 minutes from Parker’s and we try to come here every visit. Whether it is to meet friends or family for drinks and appetizers in the bar, to have an early holiday meal, to celebrate a special occasion with a larger group or to treat ourselves to their Sunday brunch, Parker’s has never disappointed us in all of the years we have being coming here. Our most recent visit was the Sunday brunch (for the third time). Everything is expertly prepared from the appetizers and salads to the prime rib and seafood, not to mention the desserts. Parker’s will not disappoint!!!
The restaurant is very quaint. The service was excellent. The bar area had a guitar player going while we were there. The food was good. The prime rib was a little tougher than I would like, but on the whole it was a good meal and I would recommend it. (And no, I have no relation to the restaurant.)
Parker's is always delicious and has a nice atmosphere. Service is great too! Wife ordered the French onion soup as a starter - it was pretty salty and flavor wasn't quite right I wouldn't order it again, but I'm picky about French onion. For my entree I had the scallops with white cheddar grits. Flavor was good and scallops were well cooked, but 2 of the 4 scallops weren't cleaned well so they we're pretty sandy. That's always disappointing for a seafood lover, but the grits were yummy as was the grilled asparagus.
My wife had a salad with steak which was delicious and for dessert I had what was probably the most delicious carrot cake that I have ever eaten. It was super moist and I could have easily eaten a vat of the frosting with a spoon. I also ordered Maple cotton candy to take home because....cotton candy. :) We'll be back, as always!
