I thought it was great. First of all the biscuits are really wonderful. I have eaten my share of biscuits and these are top shelf. Additionally the gravies, jellies and butters are very tasty. I had the dish with the biscuits, bacon and pork belly and it's as good as it sounds. They have a chicken and biscuit dish and the chicken was tender and tasty. Service was excellent and very friendly. I was there for lunch on a weekday and parking was a bit of a challenge as the parking lots in the area are for monthly rentals only until 4pm during the week. However there is a garage about a block and a half away that was actually pretty convenient. I guess it's a matter of timing because when we left there was plenty of parking on the street ( metered ) available that was full when we got there. So don't be put off by the parking because it is absolutely worth it.
Food was delicious. I'm a little bit biased because American comfort food is my favorite. However as a shrimp and grits connoisseur, these guys are 10/10. The biscuits will melt in your mouth. We ordered 4 to sample their in house jellies and I wish I'd had 20. Great ambiance perfect for date nights and small gatherings.
I had heard great things about Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey and finally tried it today. It lived up to all the expectations. I ordered the Fool's Gold and it was fantastic. The Sawmill gravy was very peppery and delicious, the biscuits were buttery and the pork belly was incredible. Would give it a 9.5 out of 10 just because the bacon was average. DEFINITELY will return.
A favorite location for delicious American food. Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.
The food was very good, the drinks were better. The biscuit sampler is one of the best items on the menu. It is a little rustic but delicious. If you are going on a Saturday or Sunday make sure to reserve a table online, sit at the bar or wait a long while. Service was good and the food came out hot. They even have gluten free options.
