Way over priced, but food is decent. Cheeseburger was good, although not hot enough to melt the cheese. Bland chicken fingers (my daughter loves tenders, but wouldn't eat these). Fresh apple I bought was brown on the inside (must have been sitting out for a long time).
Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a top destination spot in Cincinnati. Base Camp Cafe is just one place in the zoo to stop and get something to eat. It has indoor and outdoor seating. From the outside deck, you can observe the African Safari exhibit with gazelles, ostriches, and kudos.
The food was good for the price we paid. It is a tourist trap and priced accordingly. I got a LaRosa pepperoni pizza for $20 dollars (16in pizza). The burger and fries are good for $10. Service was fast and the staff is friendly.
Very conveniently located place in the zoo. It is a little pricey and there's always something that's not just ready and we have to wait for it for up to 5- 10 minutes. I like how environmentally conscious they are. I do wish they had a better beer selection considering how most other food vending places in the zoo have a better selection. My kids generally find something to eat there.
