This place is so cute! The service was great and they were nice when I asked if they could make me something vegan. I had hash browns with all of the veggies I wanted.

Happy they've opened a location in OTR and saved a land mark in the process. Great food & service like the original location.

I really wanted to like this place more based on the other reviews and the fact I have been looking for good "diner food" in this area...and all in all it was fine.

    THE GOOD:
    - Fun vibe...lots of color and energy and the ducks are a nice touch
    - Food was delicious...I had the corned beef hash and eggs, one friend had an omelette and the other pancakes. The hash was perfectly crispy and my friends said their orders tasted good and ate everything.
    - Looked like lots of solid items on the menu

    THE NOT SO GOOD:
    - The server was not that friendly and seemed a bit annoyed with life...we basically saw him at the start to take our orders and at the end to collect payment.
    - Had to constantly ask for things (ketchup, salt and pepper, jelly, sugar for the coffee etc.)...I get COVID and they don't want to leave things out on the table, but these things should be offered proactively and not trying to chase someone down
    - The food runners were nice but would run away as soon as they dropped off the food, and since our server didn't come around we had to call them back to the table to get the things mentioned above
    - Value for price paid...To me, the prices were a bit on the high side given that everything was a la carte. Call me old fashioned but I think home fries should come with an omelette and your "standard" breakfast dishes and not a $2.50 up charge

Again, all in all it was fine...not sure I would rush back.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Colorful and fun atmosphere. Great customer service! Great food! And in the era of covid, they could not have done more to make me feel safe indoors!

10 out of 10 on experience, food and service. The staff was cheerful and full of energy. They went above and beyond to comply with COVID-19 guidelines - requiring masks when entering diner and walking in common area to the flow of how people enter and exit diner. The decor was exceptionally unique - grapefruit and sunny side up egg wallpaper, enormous marquee sign, mural on ceiling of breakfast food items spanning from one end of the restaurant to the other, and the super colorful booths and tables. They even used pink grout on the tile in the restrooms. You walk in and instantly smile, it's bright, colorful and just full of joy.
