Very cool, open atmosphere, very friendly, good service. Lunch on a Saturday around 1:30, it was busy with good energy but not crazy crowded. They accommodated about 25 parents and teenagers (soccer team) in a matter of minutes which was impressive. I Sat at the bar with another dad, bartender offered samples of the micro brews brewed on premise. Beer was very good, so was the food. Had Tri-tip Tacos and the other guy had the Tri-tip Sandwich, both very good and the prices were reasonable.

Great service and they were able to accommodate a party of 10 without much wait. I'm giving three stars for the service and the fact that the others in my party were at least satisfied with their food. But based only on my meal, they wouldn't even earn one star. It was the worst thing ever served to me with the expectation that I might eat it. It was a French dip that was almost entirely fat and gristle. Not only was it inedible, trying to eat it left me so disgusted I lost my appetite for anything.

We also got appetizers. They were better (one could chew and swallow them without initiating a gag reflex), but they were bland at best. It's hard to believe a restaurant with those standards for food quality can stay in business longer than a few months.

TLDR: It was the worst food I've ever gotten in a restaurant.

After a miserable experience at a nearby restaurant we decided to give Taft's a try... What a great surprise! The beer, service, food, and atmosphere were amazing. The Tri Tip Steak wasn't something I was familiar with, and the server, Brandon, did a great job of describing what to expect - a smokey, juicy, perfectly cooked steak. The beer selection was very good - something for any beer lover. And the building is a beautifully reclaimed church that retains the charm of it's former life, without being overbearing. This is a place I'll come back to many times!

We really enjoyed the the style of the place. The main dining room is absolutely beautiful and the bar is nice. Parking was a bit tough because it's street parking.
I got the chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was pretty average and a bit dry. The price for it was a bit expensive. Their flights and drinks weren't too bad and you can try a few drinks.
The dining area was pretty loud and busy. It was full when we came, but we didn't wait long. Staff was nice, but it was really hard to hear them and our party.
I recommend this place for drinks, a casual date, or small group hang out. I would recommend trying other meals and drinks!

Great place. Built from an old church. Count on a wait so head downstairs to the lower bar and enjoy some libations, totally worth it. Once seated be ready to possibly share your table. Not bad though. Food is really good. Meats, meats, meats all good. The burger is a definite if it's your first time since they only make 27 per day! ????????. There are some fish and vegetarian options. Don't hesitate give them a try you will not be disappointed.
