The Root Beer Stand

Snapshot was good. We checked this out based on a neighbour's recommendation - had a root beer float (was quite good) and an orange float (just ok so wouldn't recommend it). The place was quite busy and the mostly teenager staff were friendly and fairly efficient. There were hot dogs and burger-type things on the menu but we didn't try. There isn't an organized line to order - more of an honor system on who is next - though ordering is quick and the people you see lining the walls are waiting for food. There is ample eating space outside in behind the restaurant and there is a decent play structure for kids.

Great cheeseburgers and root beer. Haven't tried the conies but a lot of people order them so they must be good. Can buy root beer by the jug, or have one in a frosty glass mug at the counter as a float with ice cream or just a drink. Some seating at the counter inside, or lots of seating outside, including some under a roof. Staff is always very friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

Love this place is a great hole in the wall restaurant. Also great for the family or groups. All root beer is made on site. Or at least used to be. But still taste as good as always.

FANTASTIC roadside root beer, sandwiches, and snacks. Our family has enjoyed coming here for years. I really enjoy the root beer float!
There's a small playground in the back for children to play on after eating.
Worth it!

One of the last of its kind, the traditional drive up car hops. I was pleasantly surprised by the burger, steamed bun fresh toppings. I was however a little disappointed with the root beer, I've heard and read rave reviews about it. I thought it had good flavor but it was flat. Overall it was a good experience. Very small on the inside, so if your looking for personal space take your food to the car. Definitely worth the visit.
