Our first time to Vivar and we were very happy with the service, atmosphere, and food. We tried the wine and coke and it was very good. The 3 tacos we we tried were delicious and very unique. We finished with the churros and chocolate and they were awesome. Shelby waited on us and she was very very helpful. We will be back!
This place goes above and beyond anything Findlay has ever seen before. The servers are extremely informed and welcoming, everything is spotless and fast. The bathrooms have changing tables for children and even wipes and a few diapers for if you forgot some. This place is amazing. I highly recommend.
Great environment and delicious food. I had heard some not so great reviews but I’m glad I decided to try it out for myself! I was pleasantly surprised, service, atmosphere and food were all top notch. Will absolutely be returning and will spread nothing but positive reviews to anyone who asks!
I loved the atmosphere and my drink. My margarita was very delicious and has me longing for another. I loved the guacamole and chips. But my tacos were so skimpy for how much we paid. Overall the service was very friendly and I love the decor of this place. Next time I come back will be to try even more of some delicious cocktails. Overall, this will become one of the best places in Findlay for Mexican. Love the vibe and feeling back in Mexico.
All in all - Good food, good decor, decent prices, decent wait, small portions.
Entering Vivir on their opening day, I was greeted with vibrant colors and cozy, but energetic, decor. After finding my own seat away from the bar, I was quickly approached by a waitress. I ordered two tacos at 4 dollars a piece. There was a large selection of alcoholic beverages, but I went for a Mexican coke which came in the bottle.
After waiting for about 25 minutes, I received my food.
The tacos I had were delicious. The in house 6" tortillas were a nice touch to the cooked-to-order pork and shredded chicken I ordered. They were topped with just the right amount of greens and the pork one included pineapple, giving it a nice sweet touch.
After finishing my food, I waited an additional 20 minutes before I was able to be checked out. I assume that with time, the wait should be a little better.
Despite the lower cost and delicious food, I did feel disappointed with the portion size. It definitely feels more like a snack and drink restaurant than a place to get lunch or dinner. That being said, I still recommend it as the management is super receptive and the staff is polite.
