The River Tavern

Enjoyed the wings and dart boards.

Amazing food drinks. Love this place. The owners are amazing.

My wife and I drive by this spot all the time, and kept meaning to stop in--today was the day, and now we're wondering why we waited so long.

The River Tavern is probably best described as a warm, friendly, well-tended "hole-in-the-wall" type of establishment. The interior is well cared for, the staff is friendly, personable, and welcoming, and the food is solid bar fare (they do a really good cheesesteak, as an example).

I cannot comment on the quality of the mixed drinks, as my wife and I stuck to beer, but I imagine they're on par with the rest of the establishment--which is to say excellent.

The bottom line here is that if you're looking for an "upscale" or "trendy" setting, you should look elsewhere--but if you're looking for a friendly, comfortable setting with cold beer and good food, you'd do well to give The River Tavern a chance.

Cajun steak melt so good i had to get a 2nd! And I'm not much of an eater...just ask my hollow right leg!.....and it seems so easy to win the Q of hearts... and everyone gives you these funny chips that get u free drinks!

Nice friendly bar with great burgers and friendly employees. The type place to go and relax that you can actually have a conversation without yelling.
