Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Really good food! 2 meat combo for the win! Beef rib sandwich is killer. Great staff too, high energy and talkative and you can tell they love where they work. We order here once a week, and we have happy belly's. So should you!

Came here for the first time. Environment is pretty cool and the staff was friendly. We were sat right away and our server immediately greeted us. The food was decent and came out lukewarm. We waited 35 minutes for it when most of the food is pre-cooked. I didn’t hate my experience but for the price and quality, I wasn’t totally thrilled.

We're from Columbus and love the Dickey's there, so when we wanted a bit to eat here in Newark, we were happy to see this location.

I am giving my experience a 4 star because it wasn't quite the same level that I'm used to. My understanding is this is a franchise and is a full service with bar. The bar prices seemed very reasonable if you like beer

I had pulled pork dinner, which was really extra, extra shredded into fine strands of pork. None of those yummy little chunks you usually find in the pulled pork. Plus it was a tad on the salty side. Still very tasty though!

Another difference was the original and sweet BBQ sauces looked watered down. At least they were not as thick and flavored as I am used to from Columbus Dickey's. Could just be a different brand of sauce.

I do have to agree with other reviews that service provider was slow.

Dickey's is great food and I would recommend to anyone.

Super friendly staff. Food was great. Very clean location. I placed a pick up order. Once I arrived, I ordered a drink. Since my food wasn't ready, they gave my my soda for free.

Outstanding! Perhaps the best pulled pork I have ever had. Not overly greasy like City Barbecue, still tender, juicy, flavor turned up to 11.

This is the only Dickey's that is set up as a traditional restaurant, on top of the normal casual setup. I sat at the bar and had lightning fast, friendly service. I signed up for the online thing and got a free "big yellow cup" which is another thing unique to Dickey's.

If you love barbecue, Dickey's on 21st Street in Newark, OH is worth checking out.
