Pizza Nerds is a special one of a kind pizza place that is definitely worth going to at some point. Pizza Nerds has their 'gimmick' which is the 80-90s appeal, which is noticed by their interior, logo, and the pizza option names. I got 'The Mario' which is Pepperoni, Banana Pepper and Honey; the pizza was incredibly flavorful and not too sweet. The crust was cripsy not crunchy or soggy, the pizza had a lot of grease so make sure to eat this with plenty of napkins. The cookies are also one of a kind and are on level with another Columbus 10/10 place Lion Cub cookies, seriously these cookies might even be worth the drive alone. Which brings me to the next point to consider, the drive.
This place would do so much better closer to Columbus in a location like Easton, Downtown, or even Grandview Heights; its a complete shame that this pizza place is around a 40 minute drive from downtown locations, even farther if you are on the west side! Add to that you cant do a set time on Saturdays so if you want to order ahead you might want to have the passenger do it while you're driving. All in all its worth a visit but due to the far drive it might be more of a special occasion place rather than a regular place which is a shame since this might be the best pizza around

TLDR there's a reason this place is rated 5 stars. And I'm rating it 5 as well.

This place is awesome. They have incredible pizza. The owner is super friendly and really knowledgeable about his pizza. He's spent a lot of time perfecting what he has there.
To start the atmosphere of this place is great. Its like walking into a 90s tripped out garage with cardboard cut outs of different WWE wrestlers and posters of cult classic films on the walls and shelves of old classic NES games.
Now the pizza. The pie was fantastic. Perfectly cooked with crisped edges and a light fluffy crust. Not super chewy or dense which is perfect. The pepperoni were perfect with some a little char and others still tender. The sauce was delicious, sweet but not artificially sweet and the tang of the tomato still came through. And finished off with a light drizzle of hot honey. If you want they also have house made ranch to top the pie with

For dessert, scrumptious cookies made by the owners wife. The cookies change from day to day depending on what she feels like so get one while you're there because you might not see it again for a while.

Our new favorite local pizza place. Great pizzas with unique toppings and wonderful flavor. Don’t forget to try their cookies either, because they’re absolutely phenomenal.

I absolutely love their pizza. I do miss the farm fired pizza truck. However they did not lose a beat switching up their dough and baking process. Give their off the menu special called “the lineman” an add pepperoni to it. You won’t be disappointed!

Awesome to see such a great pizza place this far out from Columbus. It's got a 90's theme gimmick going on, but they make some seriously good pizza. They even text you when your pizza is going in the oven so you can time your pick up.

Pizza is very similar to Pie of the Tiger, which I call "Bartroit" style. It's a combination of Bar Style and Detroit Style pizza, not as thick as Detroit but close and has wonderfully crisp caramelized edges.

We ordered a Large "Mario", a Large "Tommy Pickles" (with no chips), and a Medium Cheesy Garlic Bread - price is a bit steep for the area, but well worth it.

I'd rate the pizza/cheesy garlic bread a 4.8, but since Google doesn't allow decimal reviews I rounded up to 5.
