Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

My friend ordered a steak burger and it was so salty. She said she could taste the salt. I ordered a chili dog and thought the hot dog tasted off but the gal who rang up our orders said that's the way they taste because they are all beef. Now I usually eat Nathan's all beef hot dogs and they don't taste off. HOWEVER the Frozen Custard is to die for. They have a frozen custard treat called a concrete. The toppings are mixed like the DQ Blizzards and tipped upside down. I will definitely be going back for the custard treats.

Freddie double cheese steak burger was tasty however pickles, mustard and raw onion that are stock (you can opt out for them) left me hungry for more. Steak burger meat was extra thin like paper so glad I ordered the double patties. Also tried the vanilla frozen custard and it was good. Tip: download the Freddie app in advance so that you get credit for all purchases to earn steakburger or a concrete.

I thought it was great! I kept my expectations low because everyone was complaining that the burgers were too thin and salty. It IS a salty burger, but I personally like that. It has a delicious gristly edge that is thin. The burger is a decent size. It’s not skimpy. Keep it mind, it is a steak burger so they’re supposed to be thinner. Think Steak and Shake but better. The shoe string fries are salty and have a hint of garlic in them. I couldn’t stop eating it! The custard is buttery and not overly sweet. Perfectly balanced in my opinion. I’m pleasantly surprised. I finished it about 15 minutes ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. Definitely check it out if you’re looking to fulfill your umami craving!

Different. The fries are shoestring, I prefer the larger fries. However they were crisp and tasted fresh. The burger had a soft bun, I liked the full slices of pickle. The meat patty looks to be hand made. The staff is friendly. Overall, excellent.
