Maguey Mexican Restaurant

We stopped at this place before our basketball game. When we got there it was empty but once we ordered, people started to come in. We grabbed some appetizers and drinks because we didn't have enough time to try more things. The appetizers that we got were good. They just got their alcohol license so we got a chance to try it out. Give it a try if you haven't!

Fantastic food! I had the Carnita burrito today, it was incredibly good. The staff is very friendly. This is a small family business that we need to support.

Great food. SERVICE WAS excellent but if large crowd in restaurant it may take just a bit longer to get served. But be patient. Well worth it!

I absolutely love this place! I have been a frequent customer since opening day. We live super close and I love Mexican food. They have updated their menu lots of great food and they even serve HORCHATA! and it's delicious 😋 salsa is on point!! its very finely chopped, I stop a few times a month just to buy their salsa and chips. And yeah like some others have said it is usually pretty empty when we go but once people start realizing how great a place it is hopefully that will turn around for them.

Also I seen another post saying they only take cash. Not true all payments including apple pay/Google pay

Went out for tacos, since it was Tuesday and decided to try this place. Overall, my wife and I both liked the visit. The place is very clean and the waiter was attentive and friendly to us the entire time. We got some queso and chorizo with our chips for extra. The tacos were good. Only complaint is you need to season those meats. Everything was cooked well, but lacked salt. Tilapia needed some acid like a lime wedge. They bring out a serving plate with a small thing of salsa verde, cilantro, and onion, that I was able to put on myself. I’m a big fan of cilantro and onions for tacos so I could have gone for more of the two.

We tried all of their options. Chicken, chorizo, carne asada, carnitas, beef, and tilapia. For 3-4 bucks each it was very reasonable. They were generous with their meats on each taco. I wish I would have taken pictures of all the tacos but I didn’t think about it until three of them were already inhaled.

I have seen some people say that this place is always empty when they visit and just to say, it was true when we were there. I just wish my community would actually support their local businesses, but this one is being neglected. I hope things can turn around for this place. We’ll be back!
