The Century Tavern

Wish I could share more about this bar. It's right up the street from me, but I've never been inside. They look like they're struggling to survive. It's a shame, because it's a historic building, & they look like a beautiful little bar. I know my neighbors go here. I hear them walking home at night, and we wave to eachother or nod in acknowledgement. They all seem peacable and to have had a good time. Sometimes they're laughing and chatting. I've never had a problem with any of them.

I'm not a drinker and don't enjoy alcohol. My dad grew up to be a teatotaler & a pastor. He raised us to avoid & hate alcohol. My husband's father was an alcoholic, so we both kind of avoid the stuff or drink a little at home.

I don't hate the place, though. I want it to do well. I just have no need to go to a bar. I hope the people that go here find what they're looking for and have a good time. I think this place deserves more business than the "Bullfrog Cafe" across the street. I hope, as N. Ridgeville develops, more people will come here. It has a tiny parking lot, tho. Definitely the neighborhood bar you walk home from.

This place has so much history. Its 200 yrs old this yr. Love the atmosphere.

This place used to be the biggest dive bar on the planet. It seriously is nice now. Still has a great dive feel but it's perfect for a bar. A true hidden gem. Try it again

This is a great place to drink and meet people!! Nice people and a great owner!! This is a place where you can come get a piece of mind and relax!

Give it 5 stars for being the best local place to hang with criminals and bacteria at the same time. If you want to get sick I recommend going to this place to slum it up.
