Bistro Bella Luna

First time coming here… IT was fantastic ! Had the Banana fresh toast and walleye. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the presentation was top notch! I was pleasantly surprised!!!! I will be coming back next time I’m in Oberlin.

I had heard some negative response from older reviews and a friend who came here when they first opened but whatever issues they may have had I think they fixed them. I had the turkey brie melt with apple(might be getting the name wrong) and it was fantastic, didn’t taste dry at all. The person I was eating with had their soup of the day and stuffed peppers(spicy) and thought were happy with them. The apple pie was great but may have been easier to eat with a fork. Definitely will be coming back.

We were told to leave a review by our very friendly and helpful server, so we can support more to find the place! We hope you have her (blond woman). She was perfectly attentive, spoke highly of the restaurant and encouraged us to return. Now to the rest, We were there today. Firstly, this place is not easy to find. You cannot see it in there. Needs signage. Food tasted good but was poorly plated. Side dishes were not trying. Uneven portions. Nothing for my wife but waffle (she is vegan) and sauce was not good. Best part was the wait staff. They are very lucky. Hoping the rest changes.

This is a great new spot in Oberlin. I had the mussels and an appetizer and the salmon for dinner. The mussels were flavorful with a rich tomato broth, while the salmon was cooked perfectly and crispy on the outside while tender and delicate on the inside. The salmon could have benefitted from some sort of sauce, but overall I'm impressed considering this place just opened up. Prices are very reasonable considering that Bella Luna offers top quality dishes that you'd normally expect to pay much more for at a fancy restaurant.
