This place has the best feel good food. Ordered the pepper jack cheese balls, yuuuuum! Awesome pizza and equally awesome dinners. Highly recommend!
Despite being very busy, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The beer selection is awesome and the menu has a few interesting items. Try the pulled pork mac and cheese.
Shawn's has been a longtime local favorite for years, and for good reason. Many Irish favorites on the menu, with a great selection of draft beers. The Reuben balls appetizer is a special treat! Also, don't miss the fresh Lake Erie perch - sandwich or dinner, it's delicious.
We just recently moved near the area in October, and gave this place a try when the big snow storm hit. We were too tired to cook, and needed somewhere close. The reviews were good so we gave it a shot! Although I had been here before for drinks, I had never actually dined there. It was great! It reminds me of my other favorite bar (Doc Watson's), and just like them, I love this place for what it is. A neighborhood (and little bit of a dive) local bar. Food was good, bartender had a great personality, and we will definitely be back! The only thing I wish was different was that they had a few more healthier options to the menu. But I definitely will have this place in mind when I'm wanting to indulge on some good bar food!
Fresh popcorn (with movie theater butter!) upon being seated, decent beer selection, surprisingly tasty and well prepared pub grub. Would have given it 5 stars if our waitress was a little more attentive. She seemed a little frazzled though the place wasn't really crowded... I recommend the Irish stew in a bread bowl or the marvelous shepherd's pie.
