Had lunch in "the kitchen", and it was delicious! The feta and olive appetizer was the perfect size to share with someone, and the Coosa special was absolutely fantastic! The service was great, and the atmosphere in the kitchen was very casual and relaxed.
The grandmama or grandpapa of Toledo Lebanese restaurants. Great service. Wonderfully warm and non-intrusive professional staff. Along with Byblos, this is the best Mediterranean restaurant in the Toledo area. Frequented by Lebanese, it's the real thing. Food is superb. I had grape leaves for appetizer and little lamb-filled pita bread triangles for the main course. Ask the staff what they recommend. You can't go wrong. Dark interior, and while I wouldn't describe it as elegant, I would class it with the kind of restaurants that are so well respected for their food and service that they can afford not to spend a lot of money on updating their style every year. It's that good.
One of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Toledo. I have been to eat dinner here more times than I can count. Every time I do I have a phenomenal experience. From the atmosphere, food, and the service I give his place 5 stars every time I come.
For those who have never been ordering can be a little tricky. Everything is served family style so the portion sizes are very large. I would suggest a table of 4 to pick 3-4 things from the appetizers to share and maybe 1 or 2 entrees. It all depends on how hungry you are.
Also the pita bread!! Its always fresh and hot right from the oven. Make sure you don't eat to much before your meal comes lol.
I'm not from Toledo, only lived here a few years now, and having lived in and traveled to many cities, especially food cities, Toledo is not the greatest. Finding Beirut was the best thing that could've happened. It really is my favorite restaurant to eat in Toledo. They always have wonderful service (shout out to Nancy!) and the ambiance makes you feel like you're in the middle east which is a nice touch. The foods, I've never had anything bad here. Always so flavorful and well seasoned. You can taste the passion in these recipes. The portions are huge, I recommend sharing or taking some home for leftovers.
