(April 13, 2019, 11:26 pm)The prime rib and ribeye steaks where excellent. The service was superb, in spite of the presence of a 28 person party going on in the back. They recommend calling for reservations on the weekends. Overall a very nice experience!

(January 30, 2019, 3:00 pm)An overlooked piece of Ohio history. Since 1837 it's been a stagecoach stop, tavern, and inn having hosted six American presidents. Share a spot at the bar with William Henry Harrison.
Great bartender, full menu, good food.
Ample parking in front and alongside. -

(December 27, 2018, 3:12 am)This historic tavern is on Route 40 East in Lafayette. Have been coming here for family dinners for 4 or 5 decades. Food is really tasty and well priced. Good portions. We love the Baby Beef Liver smothered in onions and finely chopped bacon. Pure heaven..
