The prime rib and ribeye steaks where excellent. The service was superb, in spite of the presence of a 28 person party going on in the back. They recommend calling for reservations on the weekends. Overall a very nice experience!
Great food, big selection of drinks, friendly staff. An absolute must visit if you are near. Old tavern looks like something from a history book
My high school group went here for dinner. We loved the place. My husband was able to eat liver & onions. He doesn't get this at home. We had a wonderful experience as well as the wonderful meal!
An overlooked piece of Ohio history. Since 1837 it's been a stagecoach stop, tavern, and inn having hosted six American presidents. Share a spot at the bar with William Henry Harrison.
Great bartender, full menu, good food.
Ample parking in front and alongside.
This historic tavern is on Route 40 East in Lafayette. Have been coming here for family dinners for 4 or 5 decades. Food is really tasty and well priced. Good portions. We love the Baby Beef Liver smothered in onions and finely chopped bacon. Pure heaven..
