Jane's Diner is a must stop place! I went in with a family member to try the food. I wasn't disappointed. The place has a great atmosphere. The owner and staff are super friendly. They have a smaller menu but are planning on expanding it the owner said. She also was willing to modify things as well. They don't only have breakfast food which is a plus in case you want something else. They are cash only when I went. Not a big deal just remember to take some with you. Go help out this great establishment, you will enjoy it!
We had our meal here for the first time came in for lunch on a thursday and it wasnt too busy. Sit whereever you like and Ms. Jane was there to greet you with a very warm welcoming smile and her husband can cook... A+++. Their daughter decorated their cozy feel restaurant. This is afamily run business and a very homemade family recipe deliciousness. Will be back with Mom and Dad on family date night.
The Food.
My husband had a Reuben. Excellent. "Best Reuben he's ever had", i quote.
I got the Reuben on a Latke Sandwich. It's instead of bread it's on 2 potato pancakes. Delish! I'm not a big fan of sauerkraut but i liked their sauerkraut. The cornbeef is the thinsliced almost shredded. The best!. Inhad left overs because of their portion but I eat like a bird anyway in the first place. My husband finished his. Photos shown. I ate mine not thinking of taking a photo first. The wait wasnt that long but i was starving when we went there so i just dug in when i got my meal not thinking about it.. We downed the food with sweet tea. Good stuff!.
Jane's Diner on the square (next to Swine). It was delicious and Jane is so nice! We got the "Classic" and the "Apfelplfannkuchen"
Very yummy and cute diner— CASH ONLY BY THE WAY! Staff was friendly and the food was delicious ☺️ The apple pancake was great— not too sweet, and the perfect size. Pictured is the latke corned beef sandwich and a regular breakfast behind it. The cream for the coffee comes in the cutest little pitchers, too!!
We saw the handwritten signs in the window on the way to the farmer's market: Gyros, chicken paprika, corned beef. I couldn't believe all my favorite comfort foods were in one place! When we stopped in, we found out it was a family run place and they were so kind. Plus, the gyro I had was amazing! I haven't had one that good since leaving OSU. I look forward to going back!
