My wife and I tried this place over the weekend recently. We both had brisket sandwiches. I can think of a small list of things to improve upon.
First, the setup is odd, never seen anything like it before. For some reason, the business of food and the brewery are separated. You order food from a nice server, but have to elbow your way into a busy bar to get a beer.
The sandwich was tasty but dry. There is no extra BBQ on the tables which could remedy this. Maybe toss in ketchup bottles as you are given a couple packets of ketchup.
Being in the basement, it is all hard surfaces and very, very loud. There was an attempt to add some sound absorbing foam in the ceiling but it is sparse and random.
I unfortunately would not recommend a friend and say, you have to go eat there. I wanted to love it, it just missed the mark.
There was only one server for the entire dining area when we went today. She was FANTASTIC!!!! When we arrived, we were advised to sit anywhere we'd like. We found a table. Within minutes, she took our order. We only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. The food was fantastic! I suggest the Hoggy Doggy for anyone indecisive. We will certainly be back! 10/10 recommend.
Great food and atmosphere! I've eaten there twice and I've loved everything I've ordered, as has my wife. The relationship between Big Dog Daddy's and the Medina Brewing Co. is fantastic.
This food is the best! Loved the loaded tater tots loaded with Buffalo style shredded chicken and also tried the tater tots topped with brisket! So good! We also enjoyed the brisket tacos! Great place to eat the best food! What else can I say? Can’t wait to go back!
Very good food. They just moved into a shared space with Medina Brewing - order food from the waitress, order beer from the bar.
Brisket is exceptional - I recommend asking for an extra side of sauce if you like it saucy. I think the roadhouse BBQ is spicier if you're into that. Mac and cheese is very flavorful and creamy. Everything is homemade and smoked, seems like all quality ingredients. They are slowly expanding their menu, so I know I'll be back to try everything else.
The Owner is serious about food quality and is very personable.
