A Gild Pizza

The pizza is fantastic, the best dough I've ever had. This was my first visit. Based on the fact they've been making pizza for 60 years I figured they had to be expert pizza makers and they did not disappoint. Thank you A Gild, I'll be back!

Crust is thick, dense, flakey and buttery. Very much a comfort food pizza. Eat this and prepare for a long deep nap. This establishment uses a traditional Stone oven so the crust has that special kind of crispness that you only get from this kind of oven as opposed to a conveyor belt oven. Seems to be run by a Korean war vet, so plenty to talk about if serving in the military or having family members that served is your thing. traditional pizza toppings only, no vegetables here! (except for bell peppers)

I just had the best pizza ever. The girl at the desk is Cathrine and she is the Owners Grand Daughter and she is very friendly. I Love seeing Mr. A Gild still makes the pizza and the dough is made fresh everyday. Give them a shot. You wont be dissapointed.

I grew up in the area of the first pizza shop on south st and it was the best pizza around then, when they closed up didn't know they only moved so once I found that out, the next day my order was placed and still same amazing food and great and courteous owners
