Customer Ratings and Reviews

The comfort-food menu remains solid and reliable. (After a short stint with 4-6" pancakes, they've corrected the ridiculously downsized pancakes back to a reasonable size.) The burgers are surprisingly good and stand up to any high-end burger joint. But the 2018 increase in price is difficult to swallow. Expect to pay 10-30% more for a simple breakfast than you will at a local diner for the same meal.

Service at the Massillon Bob Evans seems to be consistently slower than other comparable restaraunts.

All good except server seemed to forget to check if we needed our drink and coffee refilled. Asked for extra napkins which hasn't been a problem anywhere else but never returned. A second server did help us but the only tip I would give to the first one is remember your customers after taking their order. The meal was pretty good.

Their meals are all delicious. I expecially like the pot roast! Has to be the best. Our server was very nice and took care of us.

Roasted chicken is no longer on the menu. So, we opted for the fried chicken, which turned out to be indistinguishable from the roasted chicken in taste and appearance. We we're thrilled with that because that's what we wanted to begin with. In addition, the sides and the rolls were excellent.

We we're quickly greeted and seated by the hostess.

Our delightful waitress arrived as the hostess was walking away. She appeared to truly enjoy her work, which is remarkable given that her workday started at 7 AM in Akron. After that shift, she drives to Massillon to work the dinner shift. As if working two jobs wasn't enough, she attends college classes two nights a week. And, she still has enough energy to maintain a sparkling personality and frequently flashes a huge smile.

The young man who took our money at the register also seemed eager to make our visit delightful. He had a sincere smile and laughed easily at my lame joke.

All of this indicates good management.

We need to eat there more frequently.
