Sushi Katsu

They have exceptionally fresh fish and great rice. After Chef Tony sold it the quality declined slightly, but Im happy to say as of 2019 it has rebounded to being as good as when chef Tony owned it. I can with no reservations say Sushi Katsu is again the best sushi you can find in Ohio.

Sushi Katsu is a cozy sushi bar hidden away in a plaza. They have the best sushi in ohio (no really, they have awards). Well worth every penny. Everything is hand made as it should be and they are the only place in this part of the US that still makes tomago by hand. It does not come out of a premixed box. Always love coming here when we have the chance.

So come here very often (10x+) as I find it’s the best sushi in Akron. Every time I come here though my wait for service is just too long and I ALWAYS sit at sushi bar. They have one woman who I believe is the only server. She is nice but always overloaded busy and can kind of disappear sometimes. This place would be 5 stars if they literally hire one more server. I’m not sure if inter-restaurant politics keeps them from hiring more servers but they have to because the woman who is ALWAYS THERE just doesn’t cut it.
