UPDATE: Our family visited Dave's Dinners Express again at the Chapel Hill Mall food court and what a difference! The whole experience was great! We left the mall feeling so good, and simply impressed from the first interaction when ordering, to the wonderful customer service, the presentation of the food, and how it tasted. You can't beat this food, it's awesome! The workers were very personable and friendly, especially compared to our first couple of interactions with them - perhaps we caught them on bad days before. We would once again recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Original Review 12/22/2018: My son (17) and I tried this in the food court at Chapel Hill Mall. While a bit pricey, I have to tell you, we absolutely loved the food - but Customer Service needs to do a 180. Every single one of them. As delicious as the food is, it's hard to swallow the price of the food when the workers are completely unwelcoming. My son wanted to go back one day so I dropped him off while I ran errands. Again, the food was great but Customer Service was terrible. After ordering, my son walked over and sat down close-by to wait. Eventually, a young man behind the counter caught his eye and only gave him a strange look, as if my son should be able to interpret that as "your order is up here, come get it". When my son got up to get his food, the young man just handed it to him, not a smile or a "thank you for coming." Those two things, just those two things, would go a long way in making people feel welcome to frequent this restaurant; but instead, both instances of buying food has resulted in us feeling like we were truly bothering the people behind the counter. We are headed to Chapel Hill Mall again today. My son is only going with us so he can eat at Dave's Dinners Express in the food court. Stay tuned for today's adventure.
