I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pizza here. It delicious and they are taking COVID 19 health precautions, which is even better. I highly recommend trying this place out, you won't regret it!

First time there, and what a wonderful experience! We told the owner we’d never been there before and he explained the ordering process to us as it’s a little bit different then your traditional pizza shops in the area. We order 6 pieces of pepperoni pizza, a side of banana peppers, and pepperoni roll. Due to the inside dining area being closed, we set up camp in the back of my SUV and had our pizza hand delivered. The crust is amazing! Awesome pizza, couldn’t put it down! We ended up chatting with the owner and a couple of the men working when they stepped outside. They’re so nice! We finished up our pizza and watched the sunset go down. Sunsets are unbelievable from the parking lot! We plan to have parking lot parties or picnics on their lawn in the near future!

Awesome new pizza shop! I love the fact you can buy a couple of slices if you’d like, or you can buy a whole pie. I also love the fact that their pizza isn’t a deep dish style and it has a very crispy crust. I’ll definitely be back!

I will try to be as fair as possible with this review. I called to place an order, and I thought I did place an order until the end of the call and the clerk told me I had to come in and pay, then wait in my car for the pizza. I thought I would still give it a try and went there and ordered my pizza. They don’t sell in sizes, but by slices, so just understand that before you go in. I ordered 10 pieces for $15.00. It took about 14 minutes and was delivered to my car by a very nice worker.

When I got home, it was lukewarm and I honestly can’t tell if I liked it or not? It has a thin crispy crust and the cheese wasn’t completely melted. I really wanted to like it, but I think this wasn’t the best pie they ever made. My wife felt it tasted as if it were a frozen pizza, I didn’t agree. The sauce is pretty tasty. Overall, I think the price point is right, the facility is clean and modern and the staff was friendly.

I’m giving this place a 3 for now and will be back to try it again and will adjust the rating as necessary!

I predict DiCarlo’s will have a “cult” following in the greater Akron area because they offer something truly different and do it with a confident simplicity: great pizza, pepperoni rolls, root beer and beer on tap. The crust is the focus: thin with a satisfying snap to it but not a cracker and not all doughy. The sauce is robust and not too sweet. Most differently, The cheese and pepperoni go on the pizza after it’s cooked, which surprised me the most. Admittedly, it made me a bit nervous at first, part of me thinking I’d finish it off at home. However, I tried it their way and was pleasantly surprised how the heat from the pizza finished the toppings just right.

The prices are fair. The portions are great. The pepperoni rolls are reminiscent of hot ciabatta bread stuffed with cheese, sauce and pepperoni, served with a side of sauce. A great day would be a quick stop for a beer and a roll.

The service was friendly and quick. I waited about 8 minutes for my carry out, an order I stopped in to place. I enjoyed a beer while waiting. Being an old gas station, it’s stunning what they’ve done to renovate it. It’s simplicity fits our local culture of restoring old places and not overdoing anything.

People will absolutely love this place or not like it all (I think more will love it). My wife loved it, which means we will be back over and over again.
