Sam’s Southern Eatery

The fried food was fresh and the breading was great! Small staff so had to wait for our food which isn't a big deal at all. Staff was very nice and accommodating for our party of 7. But this just isn't southern cooking. The crab cakes are made with imitation crab. Gumbo is one of my most favorite dishes. I've had it from all over the southern states. This was the worst gumbo I've ever had. Sour flavor, no seasoning, but the kicker was it was made with imitation crab. That's just sacrilegious. If they get some real crab and fix their gumbo they could easily be a 4 or 5.

Went for an early lunch. Very tasty. Got the Philly cheese steak. Chicken strips, coleslaw, French fries and hush puppies.everything was delicious and portion sizes are great.

We eat here at least once a week and also bought the family-sized portions for a party. Everyone LOVED it and was a great price for the amount of food you get!! Food is delicious and hot, even when you get it home from take-out! The service is always quick and owners are very friendly and accommodating. Recommend this place 200%!

Side note: Not cool Poster for the negative review of not having a veggie burger option. Why would you ruin a new restaurant's rating because they don't have what you want? Support our businesses, not tear them down, and go elsewhere that has your veggie burger. We want to see this place thrive and be around for many years to come.

I got fish Po' Boy and it was great. Tasted just like ones I had in New Orleans. The fish was perfectly seasoned.

Food is absolutely wonderful! Fresh and flavorful! Staff extremely friendly and attentive!
