    The food and family are amazing!!! It is delicious!!! I rated this when it was Chef Ernie's. Never been in it since the new owners took over.

    The food here is so good and mostly homemade. Homemade pies and Apple dumplings are to die for! Very cozy, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. You have to try this hidden gem!

    We had fish and chips. Both were excellent, and our waiter BJ was efficient and welcoming. We'll definitely go back.

    We decided to try the new Bates restaurant because we really liked chef Ernie's but we're slightly disappointed after we ate our meal. We had meatball sub crispy buffalo wrap and Italian wrap. All three were not good. Meatballs were rubbery and cold and the sauce was Soo sweet.the Italian sub had so much dressing in it it was pouring out of the wrap. Buffalo wrap was okay Just not a selection that we would go back for. Waitress was very nice. Fries we're good.
