Thé bartender jen is super sweet. Karaoke nights are so much fun!

We were at the Franklin tavern on Friday. My friend was the one that tried to order a drink of water. The problem that she had wasn't that she had to buy a drink first to get a glass of water, it was that even after she bought a drink from you, you still did not give her a glass of water.

It's not the bar that I have a problem with - the atmosphere is super chill and the people that frequent there are very friendly - it's a great little hometown, hole-in-the-wall type of place - perfect for chilling out on the weekend. Their karaoke set-up it also great. The guy who runs karaoke is a delight and is almost always able to find your song. What I was not impressed with was the rudeness I experienced from the bartender (who I'm guessing is also the owner). I went to the bar to ask for a glass of water after doing karaoke and was told that I needed to buy a drink to support the bar (no big deal, I get it). What was annoying was the attitude I received from the man working the bar. Not only did he -not- give me a glass of water after ordering a drink, he also needed me to use cash. The cash thing was an annoyance but not giving me a glass of water after ordering a drink like I was rather rudely informed to do? That's what I had a problem with. I appreciate the response but it's def a reflection of the attitude that I'm talking about.

It is the best! Great open mic, yummy food and the friendliest service on this side of the Mississippi.

My Wife and I stopped in to get a cold Drink. We was tired and Thirsty, the guy working answered our Questions and was very helpful. He invited us back for open Mic night. This is an Awesome place we will stop again.
