Country Dove

Another stop on Rt.66 Tour. They were packed! The food smelled delicious. We walked through the rooms upstairs that held more retail items that were expertly displayed. They entire place has a charm like no other. The ladies at the front counter were very friendly!

From the staff ..the food ... the location... best TEA SHOP stop ever. The French Silk dessert was amazing never have I ever had a pie this delicious, makes your toes curl because of the flavor. Made homemade every day. The soup was creamy not too thick but full of flavors. Wasn't too hot where you couldn't eat. The chicken avocado corrisant sandwich was also delightful. The staff was sooo welcoming each let us tour the entire store. Honestly never wanted it to end.

Wonderful small quaint tea room with homemade comfort food made with love. The Peach Tea was excellent so was the food. The owner was very kind to us and my daughter when we bought a beautiful teapot from their gift shop. We even signed a guest book they have out so you feel like family. A wonderful surprise on a long road trip!

What a gem! Wonderful food, even better service, and the BEST hospitality. Our waitress Bobbie, and Glenna the “out in front” owner, couldn’t have been nicer or more hospitable.

The place we had selected on our way from Tulsa to Santa Fe was closed for vacation… what great luck! We went to the Country Dove instead, and discovered one of our favorite places on the whole trip. So much that we made it a point to be there for lunch again on the way back. At our second stop Glenna and Bobbie remembered us, and we got to meet Kay, the “behind the scenes” owner who makes all the wonderful food happen in their tiny kitchen.

Men, beware: you WILL be outnumbered at this darling “tea parlor.” But - you’ll love it too. And… Be sure to try their house made French silk pie.

A MUST TRY if you’re going through Elk City between 11-2 - their only hours. Don’t miss it if you have the chance to enjoy lunch there!!
