First time visiting Cheddar's and brought my dad from Arizona to check it out. The staff was very friendly and the manager, Lisa, was over the top! The onion rings, meatloaf, pot pie and chicken fried steak.....best food I have ever eaten. Prices are very reasonable too. Our server, Heather, was the best server I have ever had. We already have another dinner date planned at this establishment for next weekend!!!
Great place! Can't say enough nice things about our server, Blayne! My steak was too red. I guess he noticed the look on my face, because he immediately asked if I want a new steak. He was so nice n did his job with the finesse you get in high end restaurants. He kept me up dated on the steaks progress..just 3 minutes more. He waited until I checked the new steak n it was perfect! Lisa the manager came to our table to see if the steak was right. She had the relaxed body language n tone in her voice that said she really cares. Many managers would have made it right, but with the rigid body language n clipped tone that says I did it but not happy about it. A shout-out to Blayne n Lisa for 5 star service n food.
Very nice experience. Had the meatloaf which was very good. Wife had salmon which she also enjoyed.
Was a busy night (Friday) but the service never suffered. Not at our table anyway. All in all, a nice evening.
This was our first visit so you know first impressions are important. This is an Oklahoma restaurant and we have so much wind here. As I struggled to get the door open, I noticed 4 employees watching from behind the reception desk. No one else was in the lobby but the employees and us. How odd, I thought that no one would even try to help. Although the restaurant was not full at all, they placed us in a 2 person booth in the bar area, by the restrooms and next to the managers working table where a group of employees gathered to visit about schedules and business items. When the waitress finally found our hidden booth, it had been quite a long while so I had a complete catch up on all the happenings in the restaurant from the staff behind me. There were tables that needed to be cleaned in several places.
On a brighter note, the chicken pot pie was delicious, our waitress was pleasant. The portions seemed appropriate and it was not an expensive meal. I don't think I will go back. I like to dine during the evening meal with much less loud talking by the staff. I couldn't have my own conversation. It's too bad because the food is pretty good.
