Swadleys Bar-B-Q

We love this place. Great barbecue, great service and proud faith-based ownership. Closed on Sundays, Swadley's does more than enough business the rest of the week to compensate. We respect this immensely. All this being said, the barbecue here is very tasty and reasonably priced. For a Saturday lunch, I had sliced brisket (given a choice of lean or moist, I chose moist with no regrets), with signature onion straws and substituted a baked potato for $1. My husband had chopped brisket with the onion straws and spicy green beans generously seasoned with bacon. Sweet tea was kept full. Sauces are served as requested. Just really good food moderately priced and served with a warm smile.

We ordered the Oklahoma Sampler with an extra side. The roll was soft and slightly sweet. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. The ribs were moist and flavorful. The ham and brisket were dry. The sausage was unremarkable. The okra was crunchy excellence. The cream corn had just the right amount of creaminess and was excellent. The campfire potatoes were good. The staff was happy and friendly and the service was prompt.

Everything about this place was fantastic! Food and salad bar are great! The serving staff friendly and helpful. The decor and restaurant well designed/decorated. So much food! We'll be back for sure!

Food is great! You can see the whole kitchen when you enter the restaurant, transparency. It's nicely setup to order at the front and then wait at a table for the food to come out. No MSG in their food! Waiters are fast and friendly. I also like that this place recognizes Jesus Christ as our saviour. :)

Had to travel to Ardmore on business and stopped here for lunch. The chicken was incredible. Tender, tasty, really cooked to perfection. I tried all four of the different sauces they all had a unique flavor and I enjoyed each. Also had the brisket which was good, however, the chicken just outdid it in terms of quality. It's not usual that I favored chicken at a barbecue place, and the brisket here was good, don't get me wrong, but if you go you have to try the chicken. The sides were also extremely tasty. It's worth a visit.
