Foggy Bottom Kitchen

Very good food at reasonable price, we love sitting on the deck that over looks Lake Murray. Our only disappointing thing was that they do not serve breakfast all day long. The menu looked very appetizing and I would have ordered breakfast if it was available.

This restaurant is awesome! Food quality is great. I went there today for dinner and got the Bone In Pork Chop with Apple Bacon Onion Jam!!! So good! Who ever the chef is that created the menu and recipes great job! I will definitely be back!

Loved the atmosphere and the balcony overlooking the beautiful Lake Murray. The food was terrific, staff were friendly. Our waitress was informational on the history of the lodge, and Foggy Bottom, including other locations and others in progress. The only spot on their otherwise awsome 5+ review is that breakfast is not served after 10am. Lakeside is a more relaxed crowd. We heard another table that also wanted breakfast at 10:30am.

This place is awesome! Waterfront restaurant with a view and outdoor seating available! I've had Swadley's BBQ at other locations and wasn't impressed. Here I had the chicken fried steak and my wife had the pork chop and we were both very pleased! Staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone!

First time to eat here for lunch. Parking is past the front door of the lodge with some parking nearly at the front door. There are two entrances on both sides of the restaurant facing the lake. There was also outside seating but during lunch it's in the sun so too hot, but I could see it being really nice in the evening.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the menu is not very big. They also have a kid's menu. I heard someone ask if they had a bar, and the waitress said they didn't have their license yet but not sure if that's going to be in a separate location or what. It's not a big restaurant so don't know where they would put one.
We got the zucchini chips appetizer with ranch and honey mustard dipping sauces. It was delicious! I got the fried chicken tenders with gravy, okra and mashed potatoes and gravy. The breading was sweet which wasn't to my liking, and the potatoes tasted funky but the okra was good. My husband got the Belle burger which was huge, and he said it was delicious. All in all, we will be back to try something else next time. It's really nice to see all the improvements they've made at the lodge and to have a restaurant that looks like it's going to be a success. It's also a unique experience looking out at the lake and watching the boaters go by as you eat (not a TV in sight, very nice). They also had a dock for parking your boat so you could eat while on the lake.
