This place delivers everytime. I had the chopped brisket and hot links and my son had the pulled pork sandwich. All was delicious and good portion size. It's a hidden gem that's not so hidden.
There are two barbecue locations about a mile from me but I choose to drive a little extra to get the best. I haven’t one bad meal from this place. Best BBQ around this area
Great BBQ. The meats are the star of the show. They're neither dry nor greasy and they have a perfect smoke flavor that's not overwhelming. Also their sweet tea is perfect. It tastes like tea...that's been sweetened. That might sound intuitive but it's not if you tried some other sweet teas around town that taste like someone dipped Earl Grey in their hummingbird feeder.
Blake himself is a very nice guy and any staff I've dealt with has also been extremely pleasant. My wife and I just moved to the area the end of February and decided to try Blake's BBQ for the first time this past weekend. Today was the third time we've been. It's a nice little spot with great food. Chips are freshly made and their pulled pork is melt in your mouth. We'll definitely be back many more times.
I had a two-meat combo with ribs and brisket, potato salad, and fried okra. Everything tasted good, and the food was high-quality. The sauce was good too. My only complaint is portion size. When I ate here at their grand opening a couple of years ago, i remember thinking their portions were above average. Not anymore.
