Taqueria La Tapatio

Eureka..I found it! Finally the Mexican flavors I have missed since 2016 when we moved from Texas. Lengua, barbacoa, carnitas....I can't decide....guess I'll get one of each...mm,mm, mm,mm.... good eats.

When I first saw their banner at 12th & Eastern, I was pumped to see we now have a taqueria in east Moore. I stopped in for lunch last week to check it out. I was met by Junior, one of the owners. He's a friendly and personable man with an obvious disposition to succeed. He brought to my table a basket of piping hot chips with some cheesy sauce. The moment I tried them, I thought to myself, he's worked somewhere like Ted's or Chelinos. Turns out, he and the cook worked at Ted's. I ordered four tacos, an asada, pastor, lengua, and carnitas. The tacos were fresh and delicious. The only criticism I have, is the size. I would be happy to pay a little extra for a larger taco. The customer service is not an area where they're lacking, it was excellent!

Been a very long time since i had Mexican food this good. Pretty much since i moved away from new Mexico in 2011. Try the green sauce on a pork enchilada or on the chicken burrito; both are amazing! highly recommend
