Thawan Thai Cuisine

Out of all the Thai spots in Norman, this is on par with Thai Kum Koon or Sweet Basil aka the best. They have several dishes unique to this restaurant including Thai beef jerky, Laotian papaya salad, kaeng par curry just to name a few. I had the grilled chicken. Marinated in lemongrass and served over cucumber salad. It was amazing. My roommate got the pla ped catfish. It was served in a beautiful glazed pottery dish shaped like a fish. At a spice level 2, and they don't mess around with the spice here. Which I love because I get tired of Asian restaurants thinking I can't handle spice since I'm American.

Wonderful staff and highest quality Thai-Food in the metro! We had a dozen family members and everything was on point. I can’t wait to eat there again! Yum!!!

This is the best thai place in Norman. Best price for the amount of food. And best flavor.. not too salty like some other places. Just amazing

Very nice surprise. Was in the mood for Asian food and did a quick Yelp search. Read the reviews and took a chance. The restaurant is located in a strip center and can be missed if not careful.

I had a Seafood mix(red curry) with pineapple. Two thumbs up. Get it with the Jasmine rice, excellent. Staff was very attentive from arrival to departure.

Excellent food, excellent service, and plenty of spiciness. If you like spicy Thai food this is your place. If you aren't a fan of spicy, be sure to order a lower number. You can always add more heat. It's definitely a hidden gem and well worth the trip to Norman to eat here.
