The Meating Place

We were SO excited to try this out. Especially since Norman can feel limited at time. We decided to go early around 430. Service was next to nothing. We were the only table besides a group upstairs. The food was okay, definitely felt like it was over priced for the quality. The vibe overall was cute though! As for the service, we had to flag down the waiter anytime we needed anything. A refill. The check. Which was a little annoying because there were probably 4 or 5 people standing around waiting for the dinner rush. The owners parents came by which was nice. I feel like this could be a GREAT place but definitely will need more time.

Amazing food and drinks! The food tastes great and is reasonably priced. Equally as amazing was our waiter, Jake, who was supremely attentive and made some great suggestions to try next time we visit... Which will be very soon!!

Unbelievable delicious savory barbecue flavor in their awesome meat selections. The coleslaw was so unique and fresh. I heard the food and waitstaff were awesome and they are all on point trying to make sure your visit is top notch. Wow!!! It more than that. Try it out. Definitely 5 Star, Michael McClure.

Their food is the best. We have had it several times on the food truck and now the restaurant. Smoked chicken tenders are my new favorite food. When Pigs Fry is also good. The bundt cake was delicious. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. Good place to meet friends and/or family and hang out.

I’ve loved the meating place since it was a food truck. It was always at my local favorite events. The brick and mortar is even better. The atmosphere is perfect. Casual and cozy yet nice enough for a night on the town. Love the upstairs. The food is so good. Mild to hot sauce selections. Even yummy salads. Desserts are great too with a good local beer selection.
