I absolutely love this place! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and the owner was amazing! I appreciated that he went out of his way for my son, who just graduated from BCT. We will definitely add this to our must visit list when we come back to Lawton.
These guys really know what they're doing! I always have the sliced brisket when I go in, It is so delicious and fork tender! Smoking meat seems to be their specialty. They waitress who serves me when I go in at lunch time is the bomb! She is always friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about the food there. If you like deserts please try the chocolate cake I had some today and it was great!
This place has some amazing reviews, but I found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. Nothing was bad, but some things were just okay. However, there were some fantastic highlights, including the ribs (best I have ever had and I don't even really like ribs that much. No sauce needed! Actually, most all the meat was done very well and was delicious) and the incredible service- our server went above and beyond without us even asking for anything, and they even opened up a table for us that was originally closed off so we would have a little more room for the kids (again, without us asking). I also thought the portions were good, as my husband and I actually ended up sharing a plate. I have seen several reviews about having small portion sizes but I didn't think they were small at all. The brisket and the chocolate cake were both a little dry, but they tasted good. I also wasn't a huge fan of the sauce selection, but that is because I am a wimp when it comes to spice, and two of the three choices had some level of spice (one was sweet with a kick and the other was basically pure heat). The meat was tender enough that it didn't really need sauce though, other than the brisket.
Really enjoyed the meal we had here! Service and food were wonderful. The owner came out and thanked my son for his service, and gave him an apron and towel to keep his uniform clean. We tried all of the meats and sides--not a bad item in the lot! If we ever make it back to Oklahoma, we'll be sure to stop here!
