We went there on a Friday at lunch. The place is nice. I give it only 3 stars as the pulled pork was good, the ribs were tight, tough to eat, and not tender. They were probably cook to fast with a high heat making them not tender at all.
The best bbq I’ve ever had. We drive 40 mins just to eat here. We always get the pork tenderloin, ribs, and brisket. It’s cooked perfect every single time. Huge portions and reasonably priced. For dessert definitely try out the banana pudding, it’s a family recipe and AMAZING! The restaurant is clean and staff is very friendly. Definitely check this place out, you won’t regret it!
Smokin’ Joe’s meat is so tender and juicy, the best BBQ I’ve ever had, the homemade sides were delicious! Mama’s heavenly nana puddin topped it off to perfection. If you leave there hungry, it’s your own fault, had plenty left
For another meal. Staff was friendly and helpful, will definitely be going back soon and often. The place was clean and set up really well for counter service/fast casual.
The banana pudding is absolutely heavenly! Every time I have gone, that is my favorite thing to get! This is a nice family owned business, and all the workers always treat you with such great care! I would definitely recommend going for a family outing or even a family celebration, they really know how to make you feel special! Personally, the chicken is my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with a good brisket! I’m not really a barbecue person, but smoking Joe’s makes me a barbecue person. I love love love their barbecue!
Well alot can be said about a name, good or bad. The original Smoking Joe's, although pricey, has always had very good food so that's what we expected. The atmosphere is nice. They have done a great job decorating. My husband and I decided to split a 3 meal dinner which was priced on the menu for $22.00. We also ask for water but they only sell you bottles of Sam's water. $1.50 apiece. We ordered brisket, pork loin and ribs. The total bill was $33.94!! That's a far cry from $25.00 (even when you add tax). When I asked about the difference I was advised there was a "small" upcharge for splitting a dinner. I wasn't given an itemized receipt so I asked for one. We had been billed $24.00 for our dinner, an upcharge of $3.00 for splitting it and we had also been billed a credit card upcharge. I think they should be a more upfront about their charges.
Now for the food, the sides were very good. The ribs were good, pork loin was dry but had a small amount of smoky flavor. The brisket was dry and had very little to no flavor. Not a meal I would normally pay this much for. Needless to say, we have a very good BBQ trailer and BBQ restaurant in our small town. Think we'll be just going there from now on. My opinion, you pay for a name here, not really outstanding food.
