Shady Oaks

Poor waitress was handling the entire restaurant floor and it was exhausting to watch. I felt bad to even ask for a refill. We had 12 people in our group alone and there were other big groups at the same time so my suggestion is on holiday weekends especially, the management should staff a little better. The food was just okay, nothing special that any of us would come back for, unfortunately, because I love country diners.

Delicious pancakes--and they're so huge. The omelets are also great. The staff is so friendly and it's definitely worth the wait for a table. 10/10 would recommend.

This is such a great example of how important it is to not judge a book by its cover. The place doesn’t look like much but the service and food were both amazing. My husband and I each ordered a breakfast burrito and a specialty pancake. The burritos were packed full of eggs, cheese, ham, sausage and bacon and were almost two hand burritos. The specialty pancakes were about 10 inches across and tasted great. They even brought us warm syrup and salsa when we asked. Extremely reasonable pricing for a freshly made meal like mom made it.

Great burgers! It was actually one of the best burgers we have had in a long time! Ingredients are very fresh. Sadly, it was obvious the crinkle fries were frozen. Wish they would make homemade fries. That would definitely give them a 5- tar rating! Quick service. Friendly wait staff. We did not get to try any of their pies. Will definitely return when in the area.

We ate here during our camping trip up at Beavers Bend. Everything we ate was delicious! Great portions for a great price. The service was wonderful. They quickly and kindly accomodated our large group of 10. We would definitely eat here again.
