We enjoy everything about Java39! Interesting and eclectic art, music, food, and folks. Love the commitment of the owners to the local community, with a warm welcome for everyone--young and not-so-young, rednecks and hipsters, from every walk of life and every lifestyle. And the music! Exceptionally talented musicians--from professional to those reluctant to perform in public--have graced their small stage to share their gifts to an always appreciative group in an intimate setting. But the FOOD--if for no other reason to check it out, it is worth your time to drop in for some of their incredible, made-from-scratch, dishes. Always hot and served with a smile--everything we've ever had was delicious. Gotta start with the gumbo and a cupcake, then go from there. Because you'll be back! It's a really nice place to relax and spend some time.

Excellent service and decent coffee at a reasonable price. Was there while they had a live performance by some band which was really neat. Enjoyed my visit. Only thing is the cupcake I had was dry. Taste was there, just dry.

I popped in to do homework and meet someone for coffee. The place is very neat!!! Coffee was very tasty and crafted well. No bitterness or commercial taste. Served with a smile and love in a ceramic mug. We will definitely be back! Very friendly staff and decor is fun!
