2nd visit: It's been a month and I got a Donato's coupon card in the mail. Tried to use their app this time, but there was just a white screen after tapping the make payment button. No order confirmation. No time estimate. No joy.
So after all that I call the location and no one sees my order. So I order again. Annoying. Then at pickup, I'm paying at the drive-through and have to complete the process myself because of the TIP screen.
How does someone handing me my pizza through a window earn a tip on top of their hourly wage?!? Their hourly doesn't cover that?!? Jeeeez. Are we still teaching everyone's a winner even when they aren't?!? Employers don't realize this affects a worker's over-expectations toward their job, too.
I order the same ingredients no matter who I order from. Still a good pizza here, but I think I'll go back to Marco's next time - there seems to be more flavor in their pizzas. I guess it's not just about the quantity of toppings.
1st visit: Uh-oh...Marco's has a challenger. Donatos put equal if not more toppings on their pies. The flavors of their ingredients are full, rich and juicy - like Marcos. Up until today, Marco's has been my unequivocable favorite. If it weren't for the hair I found in one of the pieces, Donatos could be my new favorite. I'll give them one more chance because their pizza deserves it, but if a restaurant can't keep employee's hair out of the food, they don't deserve anyone's business. 3 stars is for the hair, with 5 for atmosphere and service.
BTW, on a tablet your website shopping cart checkout screen doesn't show the checkout button at the bottom of a vertical display. The checkout button does show when the screen is rotated to a horizontal format.
As an Ohioan, I can attest this is a great example of the genre of Ohio pizza. The thin crust was one of the best examples I've had, and I visit Ohio several times a year. Oklahomans have an open mind with the thin crust and with the squares!
This is our first visit and we're highly impressed! We ordered the Mariachi with sliced chicken breast (you can order it with ground beef,) fresh roma tomatoes, jalapeños, smoked provolone cheese, and mariachi sauce on a thin crust, served with sides of sour cream. It was freshly amazing! We also had their hot chicken wings which were juicy and very tasty 😋
We WILL be going back soon! 😍
There are higher tables and chairs and three booths, I think, there may be four. I just didn't take a picture of that side of the restaurant.
Clean restrooms are always prized!!!
Have only heard positive reviews about Donatos from all my north/northeast friends! I was very excited for it to come to Edmond! You can tell management takes pride in the success of the store, investing in their customers and establishing relationships. The pizza and signature style crust will bring you back for more! Any gourmet pizza foodie should try!
