Hidalgo's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

Food was pretty good. Drinks were ridiculously overpriced. The drink menu did not have prices and I can see why. No one would order them! The price for a family of four to eat + two drinks was way more than I was expecting for Mexican food. Service was okay, could have been more attentive. There is too much competition in Mexican restaurants to return here.

Our family loves Hidalgo's Mexican Restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is really fun! The owner is always checking on his customers and making sure everything is meeting their satisfaction, you can tell he really cares about his customers dining experience.

We were visiting during a swim meet in Edmond and I was skeptical because almost every Mexican restaurant in this area had 4+ stars. The food and service were good. I had the enchilada, tamale and taco combination. I love love cheese enchiladas and am used to the yellow cheese version. This instead had what I think was cotija cheese with chili sauce. The chili sauce had some spice to it which was a pleasant surprise as well. Tamale was okay, a bit dry but well cooked otherwise. I'm a big rice fan as well and while it was edible, nothing special about it. Overall it's a good place for enchiladas at least!

I have to go on record and say that this place was fantastic. Made a reservation without issue and the food was amazing. Had a big group, they got us taken care of and seated right away. From the moment we ordered, it took maybe about 10 minutes to get there food, and it was great. Kid's menu had burgers, tacos, corn dogs, it was great. Kids' portions were generous, adult portions were pretty good as well. Prices were a little higher than I'd personally prefer, but the service and quality definitely justifies it. Fantastic place and family friendly.

A little pricey but was very delicious! My husband and I shared a pariidilla plate and had a strawberry and peach margarita. Everything was amazing and the service was unbeatable! They were busy yet we were seated immediately and our food out quickly. Definitely a place we will visit again!
