I am blown away by the authenticity and flavor in everything that we got. Having lived in/visited Taiwan I have been on the look out for a taste of home and today my prayers were answered.
We got the beef noodles, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, crispy green beans and milk tea. I loved every single dish. We were able to order immediately and got some of our food within a minute or two. I would say about 2 dishes a person is enough, my husband and I shared the four that we got. I am excited to see what other dishes Ivan adds to the menu soon!
This is another one of OKC’s hidden food gems. The food was served fast and was absolutely delish. It was familiar yet unique in flavor. The vibe absolutely checks out, and the location is great.
Anyone who lives in the area or even visiting should absolutely check this place out it’s well worth your time.
We really enjoyed trying Formosa for the first time this weekend! The food choices were pretty unique . We ended up ordering four items and sharing them. They were all really delicious and were served quickly. The service was also great. We were a little surprised about the cost for some items but overall we really enjoyed coming here.
Right after work I hurried to try this wonderful new spot. In between Honey Bunny Biscuits and Tower Theater on 23rd street Formosa is in a perfect spot. I see this as a great happy hour or late night spot after a show. This can be a quick one person meal or a large group sharing many different plates. I went by myself so that I could really concentrate on the food. Everything bit of it was delicious. The Crab Rangoons were crispy, creamy, and sweet. The Pork Soup Dumplings were small, but they pack a ton of flavor. And the Beef and Rice was light, tender, and tasty. I added a little chili oil sauce to give it a kick, but it is fine without. I will definitely be back to try all their dishes!
Been excited and patiently waiting for this restaurant to open when we saw news about this couple months ago. We went today during their soft opening and the place was packed!
We tried about 9-10 different dishes and they were pretty good. The popcorn chicken reminded me of the ones I had in Taiwan. The spicy cold noodles were refreshing. The garlic cucumber tasted amazing. Didn’t intend on drinking any alcohol but Ivan’s special sounded good to us and we ordered. We were not disappointed! My friends tried their other cocktails and said they were amazing too.
Hopefully as business grows we see oyster omelets, stinky tofu, other Taiwanese delicacies and street food of other regions too! Overall a chill place to have drinks and eat delicious food.
